I think this is where many business owners say “it is with a heavy heart...” but not me! For almost 5 years, Krop Paper Scissors has been meeting most all of your papercrafting needs. I can’t tell you how proud I am to say that!
Krop Paper Scissors was a dream of mine, one that was nurtured by both my husband and me. In the nearly 5 years we were in business, we made many wonderful friends, customers that became family. As you know, John has decided to take his life down a different path, which has left me somewhat lost and confused.
In the last 7 months, you have seen me go from a completely broken woman, to where I’m at today. You have offered hugs, prayers, advice, and assistance to me and because of that, I have discovered just how “ok” I am going to be.
On Monday, June 13th, Krop Paper Scissors was informed they had lost their lease. What should have been an incredible blow to me, ended up being somewhat a relief. You see, while I LOVE my store, it has a ghost that has lingered and made it very difficult for me to let go of that one last piece of my 29+ year marriage.
So, a decision had to be made, and quick. Krop Paper Scissors will be closing its doors at 2pm on Saturday, June 18th. I am going to take a little time to complete the process that will make me whole again.
What I am happy to tell you, is that we’ll be back! I have a dream that has been sitting dormant in me for a few months, and it has suddenly woken up and is screaming to be shared. While it is too soon to go into specifics, I will tell you that what I will be bringing to you will awaken your creative soul and enable you to spread your wings and fly.
I will be making a few cosmetic changes to the website, and will post (quite regularly), the making of this adventure of mine. Hopefully you will find it interesting enough to follow!
Regarding the classes that are currently on schedule (including the Donna Downey workshops), I will be posting an update on the status of those, as quickly as I can.
As you can imagine, there is lots to be done in the next 3 days. I am happy to respond to any questions you have via email (it’s much easier to sit and respond all at once than to juggle the phone while helping customers, and wiping tears!), just email me: karyn@kpscissors.com.
In the meantime, our hours are as follows:
Thursday & Friday (June 16 & 17): 10am – 6pm
Saturday (June 18): 8am – 2pm
All in-stock items are 50% off and we are selling some of our display racks, paper trays, hooks, etc. (not all, cuz we have plans for some of them!!)
If you purchase any of the display items, they will be available to pick up between 2-5pm on Saturday, June 18th.
This is a good thing my friends. I will be back, better than ever and I can’t wait to share my journey…my new life…with you all! Thank you for your kindness, love, and support, YOU are what keeps me going!!
